Technological Solutions Limited (TSL) is a twenty six (26) year old highly innovative science-based company that has been involved in the area of laboratory services since inception and in the provision of health care and diagnostics services for over 16 years. With customers spanning the Caribbean, North and Central America, Europe and Africa, this multi-award winning firm has distinguished itself in providing exceptional support to the Caribbean’s productive sector. It has been active in Public, Environmental and Occupational Health over many years, operates an American Association for Laboratory Accreditation ISO 17025-accredited laboratory and is adding ISO 15189:2022 to its accreditations. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, TSL has further extended its innovative approaches in the diagnostic and healthcare arenas to benefit Jamaica’s enterprises and thousands of private clients. 

In addition to support being provided to the hospitality, manufacturing, exporting, food service sectors and private clients in identifying and preventing illnesses caused by Legionella, Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes, and other agents, TSL developed and implemented a series of approaches to help the productive sector to deal with the pandemic. These include the expansion of technology capabilities which the company already had in house to offer both environmental and human testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. TSL strengthened the Health and Wellness arm of its operations by the introduction of the TSL COVID-19 Resilience Support Services. These services included:

• Ministry of Health and Wellness-approved Environmental and Human Real Time (RT) PCR tests for the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes COVID-19. TSL also offers Antigen and Antibody tests for SARS CoV-2. Through these tests TSL allowed many manufacturers and exporters to continue to produce and export throughout the period of the pandemic

• In support of the business community, TSL developed and deployed a detailed audit programme to assist companies to identify, prevent and mitigate the risks of COVID-19 being introduced and spread in their facilities during the course of regular business interactions.
• TSL provided support to the manufacturing and exporting, logistics, financial, maritime and transport, and hospitality sectors in helping them implement effective COVID-19 mitigation programmes to be able to continue their operations, and where required, re-open their facilities in the shortest possible time. 
• TSL conducted webinars and training on COVID-19 and its management and prevention, training over 250 persons, and provided testing support to over 3,000 employees from some 40 organizations in the manufacturing, shipping, distribution and exporting sectors as well as over 20,000 private clients.
